The 1781 handbag commemorates the year in which Asprey was first established. Based on a design from an early travelling bag, the 1781

Darcy
A unique combination of Asprey’s heritage merged with modern style, the Darcy Bag provides a fresh interpretation to Asprey’s traditional steamer bag. Since the Darcy was first launched over a decade ago, this style has become one of our most enduring of signature styles and bears the ‘hallmark’ of Asprey’s inimitable craftsmanship. The sides are drawn in with beautiful formed Asprey engraved clasps, which can be released to provide a more relaxed feel.
The Darcy Square is defined by its neat, boxy structure and its signature Asprey clasps fastening on each side. The finely arched handles define the elegance and femininity of this much-loved classic, and despite it’s compact size is still large enough to carry all essentials in the kid suede lined interior.

Asprey’s 167 Handbag is the most recognized silhouette, defined by its distinctive trapezium profile, finely crafted top handle and distinctive 167 front lock closures. Originally inspired from sailing boats and their sails, the flat oval base of the bag resembling the hull of the boat. The rhodium-plated clasp, also available in gold variations, is Asprey patented since 1925, which is a key feature originally from the Asprey archives. The 167 Bag is duly named after the prominent location of the Asprey flagship store on New Bond Street.
